We support R&D and engineering programs for new systems and systems currently fielded in the forces of our nation and our allies. Our professional engineering staff members assess the feasibility and producibility of new concepts, the physical ramifications of applying refurbishment techniques, and perform commonality assessments to efficiently leverage programs across multiple systems. Camber provides objective technical and operational assessments and proposed remedies for programs that are technologically challenged by requirement demands. We currently operate key interoperability test centers that are crucial to assuring the ability to effectively pass information among the systems of our forces and our allies.
The Camber Corporation Modeling and Simulation Center provides a technically advanced, highly responsive, and collaborative environment to support the Army’s Simulation & Modeling for Acquisition, Requirements and Training (SMART) initiative. The Center’s professional staff of engineers and analysts have produced and utilized cutting-edge simulation tools resulting in invaluable engineering evaluations and analyses for the full spectrum of the Army’s acquisition community. The center is certified under Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute as a Level III software development organization as required by the Department of Defense for Major Programs. The Center’s most recent SMART-related success story is highlighted by a government-accepted 7 to 1 return on investment, realizing a conservative $70 million Total Ownership Cost Reduction in the on-going development of the Modernized TADS/PNVS pilotage and targeting sensor suite for the Apache Longbow helicopter.
