Company Description
Oberon is an Information Technology (IT) services company incorporated in Virginia January 15, 2002. We are a woman-owned, service disabled veteran-owned, small business. We are registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and the Small Business Administration’s ProNet database. Oberon has a Top Secret Facility Clearance granted by the Defense Security Service and our Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code is 1WYV5. As Oberon completed is first full year of operation with $4.7M in revenue and exceeded $15M for FY05, we qualify as a small business under most NAICS codes including 541330 and 541511.
Even though the company is new, it is populated with personnel who have spent their entire careers providing IT services to the federal government. The principals who formed Oberon recently left successful careers with a very large aerospace company after three acquisitions over a period of four years. We left to return to a small, highly technical environment that can be responsive to the needs of our customers. In the short time since we formed Oberon, we have added over 220 professional employees and developed a data base of over 100 highly technical individuals who have worked with us in previous companies.

Functional Area Capabilities
As a federal IT services provider, our capabilities are a direct reflection of Oberon’s technical personnel. In a little more than a year, we have developed a staff of over 170 dedicated technical personnel to support eleven contracts. In addition, Oberon has developed a prospective personnel database of over 100 former co-workers and technical individuals with 80% holding top-secret clearances. Core capabilities and past performance includes:
- Systems Development – specializing in prototyping and iterative systems development. Most personnel have experience in CMM Level 3 and above processes; C, C++ and Java software languages; UNIX operating system; and various databases including Oracle
