BAE Systems announced it has been selected as a prime contractor for the Army's Information Technology Enterprise Solutions 2 Services (ITES 2S) contract.  BAE Systems is one of 16 companies who were awarded contracts under the nine-year, $20 billion Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.  ITES 2S was designed to provide Army's Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) with a full range of performance-based, state-of-the-market, IT solutions.

"This will be Army's vehicle of choice for IT services over the next nine years and the work falls well within BAE Systems' core competencies," said John Polacek, vice president and general manager, Defense Solutions, BAE Systems.   "BAE Systems as the technological capabilities to deliver solutions that are consistent with DoD and Army policies, standardization and interoperability."

In their role as a prime contractor on a team that includes 13 other subcontractors, BAE Systems IT will be eligible to provide a full range of enterprise services and solutions:
  • Business process Reengineering
  • Test and Evaluation
  • Training & Education
  • Enterprise Application development
  • Operations & Maintenance
  • Market Research & Prototyping
  • Knowledge Engineering & Management
  • Modeling & Simulation
  • Enterprise Design Integration & Consolidation
  • Integrated Information Assurance
  • Program Management.
